The Magic of Inter-Office Mail

Today is a very sad day. I learned that there is absolutely no magic in delivering inter-office mail.

For those of you who are not familiar with this phenomenon, most offices have the ability to mail documents between them. All you do is drop your document in one of these handy folders (see image to left) and it is magically delivered to the other office in a few days.

Do you know how this is done? Magic? No. I saw our office manager stuff my folder in to a Fed-Ex Over Night Folder... That's it. Inter-Office mail is just glorified Fed-Ex.

Tonight I will lament.

Jock vs. Geek

Hi everyone. I have had a Nintendo Wii for about 2 weeks now. It is definitely something that I recommend. Zelda: Twilight Princess is great, Trauma Center is great and the fribee, Wii Sports, is great. My whole family has played with the system as well as my friends and my co-workers and we all agree it is a very well designed console.

I brought it in to work today and my bosses husband played Tennis against me. I won. Why is this such a big deal? Yeah, he is not a hard core gamer. But, he is the Sports Anchor at the local TV station. That means that I, a Geek, beat the Sports Anchor, a Jock, at Wii Sports. A small step for me but a large step for Geek-kind.
